Panos Manias

Panos Manias is a Researcher at the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute (SMMI), with a background in Mechanical Engineering, while currently progressing through his PhD at the University of Southampton. Both research roles are with regards to the decarbonization of maritime activities with the PhD's focus being on how to break the barriers for achieving this. Some examples of research work and relevant research papers are included in Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC) projects, founded by the United Kingdom's Research and Innovation (UKRI), an EU horizon project, an Industrial Research and Innovation Centre (IDRIC) project and other private projects as part of the SMMI research staff, all within the context of shipping decarbonization.
